I use pantene, and herbal escence.......i never use just one product, but mix abunch 2gthr...... herbal escence has a good scrunch gel -- plus it smells yummy! :). pantene is usually always good, so i can reccomend both!

I had the opposite problem. My hair was too wavy. I would only use water and shampoo (no conditioner) and it would be outrageous. I had to get it cut down because it didn't look manly enough. The best way to braid your hair is like this.

1- Wash and condition your hair before bed, then towel dry it a little bit. Now is the time to put in any product. I don't suggest gels unless you want cruchy hair. Try Be Curly by Aveda.

2- Braid it in two or four long braids, the tightness determines the size of it. Tight braids are small waves, looser are bigger ones. try using four or more braids, and alternating tightness to get some natural looking variation

3- Sleep well!

4- In the morning, take out the braids, give it a final blow dry with a diffuser attachment, of leave it as is, you should have some nice waves!

I hear ya! Mine is curly with frizzy thrown in for good measure. People keep telling me that I'm so lucky...but you don't see them struggling to keep their hair under control when the humidity is high nor saturating it with conditioner during the winter months to keep it from standing on end because it's dried out.

If I had my choice.....slightly wavy would be perfect. Unfortunately, we don't always get what we want.... ;0)

best thing to do is get a spray bottle and fill with salt water... after you bathe and wash your hair when it is almost dry spray it down and let dry naturally. it will wave up and then once it is completely dry you can *** dome curl activator gel and it will keep for a while if you have thin or hard to style hair. the slat water thing is the easiest cheapest and most efficient. if you have ever gone to the beach and let your hair dry with beach water you get the same effect.
