I have really thick wavy hair that is also poofy no matter what I do to it can anyone help?

Sunsilk has a new line of products for every kind of hair. One of them is Anti-poof, I just started using them on my daughters hair. There are also lots of mousses, creams and gels that can relax, smooth and define curls. Leave-in and some intensive conditioning treatments my also help. Sometimes adding a small amount of lotion after washing can help keep hair from poofing. Also if your hair is really poofy don't blow dry your hair, the heat and dryness from blow drying makes your hair poofyer.

If you want it straight, go to a salon and get it professionally straightened, it will be worth the cost.

I have the exact same problem, so don't worry. It is fairly common.

The solution is to by a strightener. Dont buy a really cheap one, but you dont need to spend 100$ on it either. My straightener is called "Remington wet2straight." Its about 34$ and works extremely well, so I would reccommend it. Wfter getting out of the shower, let your hair air dry. Although blw drying it is fine too, it might cause more damage. Before straightening your hair, you should put some sort of heat protector in it, so that you wont further damage your hair.

You should straighten your hair by layer. start out with the underneath portion of your hair, and just throw the top into a high ponytail/ bun.. (anything to keep it out of the way) Straighten the bottom layer, and then let down the middle portion of your hair. Straighten that, and then the top layer.

Overall, your hair should probably tek anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes to straighten, so make sure to do it well.

After this, you hair will be perfectly straight. Sure, a few flyaways here or there, but I assure you that it will turn out really nicely, as long as you do it the right way.
