A good leave in conditioner helps me. I use Fructis right now. It is light, non greasy and smells nice.

yes there is a right way. when you dry it, get it as straight as possible. then once it is dry, put some kind of protective oil or cream on the hair before you take a ceramic flat iron to it. it makes a huge difference. once you have straightened your hair-if you get a good cream protector (i use BED HEAD after-party)-you can usually put it on after wards too. i have really curly hair and its a pain in the butt to do it-but when im done people dont even think my hair is curly.

Take a hair mask that protects your hair when doing heat treatments (straightening iron, blow dryer, curling iron) and rub it through damp hair. Wait until your hair is dry, then straighten as normal, then take a shine/frizz serum (which is an oil) and rub a FEW drops between your hands and smooth down your hair.

get the frizz serum from bed head and put it in before you straighten your hair. that is what i do.

Use some bio-silk, you should be able to get it at a salon. I have personally used this on many of my clients and it works. Some of them have told me they used Friz ease that the bought at walmart and it works also.

Yes, there is.

The first thing you need to do is to make sure that you are not towel drying it too much, this will create friction and static in your hair and will also open up the cuticles. You have to just kinda pat it dry an walk around for a bit until it dries a little.

Add a little bit of straightening product. ( Ego Boost) is the best produt ever by the way! You need to get it. You'll love it. All you need to put in it is a little bit.

After you do that, comb through the hair and separete into sections.

Pretend like your parting your hair on the side but go all the way to the bottom of your neck. That's one section. Make a bun or clip it. Do the same thing with the other side. and the with the middle.

Take the first section out and blow dry it. ( I have linked a web site that helps to eplain how to blow dry) You don't have to blow dry the hair perfectly and completely, just enough so that it's not so wet that when you straighten it, a bunch of steam will come out from your straightener.

work either from the left to the right or visa versa. when your done all your sections, separate again, and take small 1 inch peices of hair making sure that your curving the ends inward.

you can also straighten as you go. It just depends on how well you want your hair to look.

Hope this helps! If you have any more specific questions, be sure to ask me.

I would wash your hair with a smoothing shampoo and conditioner thats ideal for your hairtype. Apply some sort of thermal protectant and straightening product. Blow dry hair making sure going from scalp to ends doing opposite will cause the frizzies. Blow dry til hair is completely dry if you prefer not to blowdry and airdry instead that can work too. Take small sections less than an inch wide starting at back of head apply more thermal protectant and use a good ceramic flat iron that heats up well up to 430 degrees (the hotter the better). Continue taking out small sections at a time so the extra hair is not so overwhelming for the iron. I have extremely curly hair and taking these steps I usually get pinflat hair. Keep in mind if you have coarse hair it can be alot more resistant to styles and requires longer processes.
