How do I get wavy hair like fergie?

Things You'll Need

* Blow dryer

* Salt spray for hair

* Bobby pins

* Curling iron

Steps

Step One

Shampoo and condition your hair. Use a lightweight conditioner that won't weigh it down; try a volumizing formula.

Step Two

Blow dry the roots of your hair with your head upside down, using the cool-shot button every few minutes to lock in some volume. Stop when your hair is damp, but not yet fully dry.

Step Three

Spray some salt spray (also called sea spray, surf spray or beach spray) into your palms.

Step Four

Run your palms over your hair, starting at the ends. Try not to get any directly on your roots.

Step Five

Divide your hair into 7 to 8 sections (more if your hair is very thick).

Step Six

Starting at the top of your head, twist each section into a loose bun and secure the ends with a bobby pin.

Step Seven

Repeat with the remaining sections of hair.

Step Eight

Allow your hair to finish drying while twisted up in the buns for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step Nine

Take out the bobby pins and finger-comb the waves into place, scrunching from the ends up.

Step Ten

Use a curling iron to fix pieces that didn't take shape well or give the front sections a more defined wave. To get a relaxed wave rather than a tight curl, don't open the clip on the curling iron. Just twist a piece of hair and manually wrap it around the barrel, holding the ends in place.

Tips %26amp; Warnings

* Salon surf sprays are typically more reliable than the drugstore versions.

* If you don't have time to twist your hair into buns, try just scrunching it.

Here is a tips from me to achieve that style:

1.wash and condition hair

2.add a little anti frizz or hair polisher and mousse in you hands then massage on hair

3.braid hair in sections(braid hair tight so that the curls will become more intense but be careful don't pull ur scalp a lot otherwise you'll damage your hair) and secure it with a band (not rubber band)

4.sleep with it

5.in the morning remove the braid massage your scalp and care full comb your hair a little don't destroy the waves from combing spray sheen oil and hair spray to help keep the style

you should use a wide crimping iron, but if your hair doesnt like it (ie the crimping just goes away again) try doing your hair up in plaits for a while and add curling foam or spray, or maybe curlers for a few hours (not too long though).

i do my hair in 2 french braids and sleep in it and if u can wear it in the morning to. if u can't french braid your hair then part your hair in the back and then part each side of your head so that u can braid the top an bottom of ur hair. in total there should be 4 braids on ur whole head. that way will be a little frizzier than fergie's because u had to put more braids. but make sure u braid ur hair while it is very wet and put wax in b-4 u braid it then after the braids are done put some hairspray. and the next day when u take out the braids put your head upside down and shake it while putting in hairspray. it looks super cute and pretty much just like fergie's. i do it all of the time. just try it it looks awesome.
