Where can i find a cheap hair straightner tht will make curly hair wavy/straightish?

im a guy and i like to keep my hair pretty short, like 2 inches. it has brittle and rough texture and is kinda curly when short, really curly when wrong, i hate curly hair, thats y i keep it short. I like straightening it for like five minutes, cuz i can spike it and it has the smoother texture, so i am looking for a cheap straightner, cuz im used to using my moms curling iron to straighten it which hurts cuz it burns you alot, so please tell me.

- Go curly! Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones. Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

-Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Use a towel or paper towels to gently scrunch some of the water out. Then let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Do not touch the hair while it is air drying or it will frizz!

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Desert Essence Organics Italian Red Grape Conditioner (found at health food/organic stores). The combo of products that I use daily is Garnier Fuctis Sleek and Shine Leave In Cream, then Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel, and then Herbal Essences Set Me Up Gel but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

Sears is pretty good, Conair brand you can always go for the 100 dollar Chi which works like magic but Conair is the next best thing and those range from 20-30 dollars and if you want to go pro Conair then expect 40ish dollars.

Okay, the best straightener is definitly a chi, they usually run $150. I found one on ebay for $50. They are totally worth the money and work amazingly on hair.

Or you could get one at the drugstore for about $20, but they don't work that well.

Well, I can tell you right now that I have the same problem (except i'm a girl) My hair is always curly. All of the good hair straighteners are around $40. You can't find a good one for under $30. The one taht I use is very good yet it was fourty dollars. You can find them at any beauty supplies store. Hope this helps!

I hate the name, but look at the Maxi-Glide. Bed Bath and Beyond sells it. It's the only straightener I have found that has 2 plates - I use one plate that has little teeth to gently pull out the curls and then switch to the flat plate, smoothing my hair out.

I GOT MINE FROM EBAY, HOT IRON, FOR $5 IT WORKS GREAT

You will want a small one. But don't go with the absolute cheapest brands, the won't work the way you want them to. I would try WalMart, CVS, or a beauty supply store.

Walmart carries Revlon ceramic-plated straighteners for about $25. They last forever too-- I've had mine for about 3 years and use it almost every day. If you've got short hair you'll have no problems with it breaking on you.

If you are looking for a more permanent alternative to straightening it with an iron everyday then let me tell you how. Buy a permanent (yes like a person would buy to make curls) put the chemical in your hair and comb it several times. This chemical opens up the hair shaft and transforms the molecules in your hair. It will only make hair curly if there are rollers in your hair, so the reverse will happen if you comb it through your hair. Leave it on for the manufacturers recommended time then rinse as stated in the directions. Apply the neutralizer and comb it through several times, leaving it on the recommended time and rinse it per the directions. It may not be perfectly straight but will not be curly! Oh and I am licensed so I don't think I will steer you wrong! Hope this helps!!
