take off only about an inch since wavy hair tends to look better long. ask your hairdresser to thin it out just a bit and put in some layers or have them do really choppy layers to make it really thin. i think the razors they use do the trick of taking off the bulk. hope this helps! =]

i have really thick hair too, i have my hair dresser thin mine out alot. just tell her to take a razor to it, the only bad thing is, is that it might get poofier in the top area..so you will have to use hair products in it. just get some curl enhancing stuff, im sure it would look cute.
