I have curly hair and have always had the delima of finding a gel, mouse, or spray to hold my curls and reduce frizz without either weighing it down or makeing them crunchy. The best thing I've used, and what I use now is Loreal Melting Gel. It defines my curls, and reduces almost all frizz, but is still light enough to have great volume, and never crunchy. I just get strait out of the shower run a pick through my hair and then put the gel in and towel dry/scrunch. Then hit it with a diffuser to get out most of the moisture, and spray with a flexible spray to help hold volume. I've tried every product on the market and this is the best combination I've found, and alot cheaper than some of the high end salon treatments with better results.

I have naturally wavy / curly hair. If you want to spend a lil extra on your product Redken All Soft shampoo and conditioner is awesome. If you prefer to not drop $30.00 on product, Herbal Essence has a new line. The purple bottles of shampoo and condtioner. (Sorry, exact names escapes me.) There is a leave in conditioner in a tall oarnge bottle as well. I was very surprised by the H.E. products because I have always been one to spend alot on my hair. It works great...but I did go back to Redken.

I have the same type of hair and after you shampoo and condition, try using Frizz ease Dream curls and their silicone gel. The Dream Curls helps make you curls more defined, and the gel usually works well for me when I put some gel on my finger and then curl my hair around that finger and do that with a few different pieces of hair. The gel also works if you just rake it through your wet hair to get sleek waves. And always remember to condition your hair in the shower, not doing that always makes my hair frizzy and coarse.
