when i want to leave my hair wavey i use this stuff called Big Sexy Curls. it says curls but it works for waves too. it smells so good and works well too. it's like $14 and you can get it pretty much anywhere and at any salon.

i believe products like oatmeal conditioners which can make it dense.i also know that homemade products,which is made out of egg ,avocado and honey is very good for wavy hair.

If it is truly wavy and not curly, like mine, I use Pantene (red label) for hydrating curls (both shampoo %26amp; conditioner). It works great and defines the waves/curls that I have naturally in my hair. I love it.
