Straight with bounce or pin straight? Towel dry head. Apply a small amount of a light styling product- not a gel. Power dry the roots area all over the entire head for several minutes. If you want a bouncy look work with a metal round brush med to large size depending on hair length. Add nozzle to end of blow dryer to direct all hair where you want it. Work in small sections. Use moderate tension and dry root area well. Slide air down hair shaft while un- rolling and re -rolling brush. Don't forget the ends. You can hold brush in place for several seconds or wrap in a velcro roller after dry and remove heat and let cool. Work around entire head small section by section. For a sleeker look use a boar bristle brush and larger diameter.

If you want it to stay wavy i'd suggest you keep the blowdryer like 3-4 inches from your hair and dont use a brush cuz itll just make it straight and poofy. Also add shine and wave defining serums while your hair is wet

I use a diffuser and an ionic hair dryer (they cost more but work so much better on controlling frizz). I also spray my hair with a curl booster. Yesterday a coworker told me my hair looked "luxurious" so it must work!

OK this may sound stupid but here it is anyway. My grandaughter was running late for a grade school show and our hairdryer was busted so I used the leaf blower from a few feet back and it worked wonders.

MY SISTERS ALWAYS STARTED WITH USING LARGER ROLLERS AND LETTING THE HARI MOSTLY DRY WITH THE ROLLERS IN AND THENUSING A LARGER BRUSH TO PULL AND DRY.
