First of all, make sure that your straightener is not too hot. If you still have your manual, check and see if it says anything about how hot you should set your straightener based on your hair type. If you have super thick hair, set it higher...your hair can handle the heat. If your hair is thin...set on one of the lowest settings, you don't want to fry the ends. You could also use a static guard which can be found at most stores. There is also products you can apply to damp hair which you will then blow dry and then straighten. This really works. It can also be found in the beauty section in the store and at most salons. Hope this helps!!!

it sounds weird, but after you straighten it, put some lotion on your hands and run your hands all over and through your hair. if you feel your hands dry a bit, then put on more lotion and do it again.

carry lotion around with you so when your hair starts to frizz or static during the day you can do this again to control it.

i also straighten my hair everyday. i use biolage matrix ultra hydrating balm for conditioning my hair and i spray it with biolage matrix anti-frizz right after i use my hairstyling iron.
