or have it in a messy bun with strands of hair down to frame your face (thats what i do with my hair ... kinda like yours but brown ad im from egypt =D)

side ponytail (low not high)

i do that a lot of the time, just recently i did a do that i really liked

it was kind of half up half down but instead of gathering it to the back i had it a bit o the side

it also depends if you have bangs or not

loose styles look great with wavy hair, check out every one you see when you go out, look at actors in movies...everyone. See what they have done with their hair and find what you like.

framing your face is always a good look so you need a cut with either a side fringe or shorter bits around the sides so that some can hang loose when you have it up.

Grab a small handful from either side near your temples (above your eyes) and loosely plat them at the back.

Try this same style but instead of plaiting but a clip to hold it against your head at the back.

Get some styling products for curly hair and have a few days each week where you make it curly, then a few days where you straighten it, then a few days where you have it wavy and loosly styled.

Try loosly twisting small chunks up toward your crown and pinning them, and keep pinning all over your head until it is all up, make sure that it is fairly loose and the pins are not too obvious, with the back hanging down loosely.

Try using a brush and hairdryer (big round brush) to give the hair at your crown some lift, then straighten the front smooth and the back smooth, you can add a head band or scarf just behind your fringe.

If you wear it back or up with tendrils around the face, and perhaps the nape of your neck it will be gorgeous. For a very inticing or "movie star" look leave it down with a side part so one side sort of falls over your eye--but dont make it cover the eye, push it back if you need to now and then. Otherwise you will look like the cute one-eyed monster in Monsters Inc.! ;-) Remember, save the inticing looks for your special man or around family and close friends. Otherwise it won't be special anymore because everybody will have seen it a million times!
